Oh and saying the stitches are straight is a redundant point, of course they're straight, it's a line between two points, they could be all over the place in the worst pattern - but they'd still be taut and straight.

I think the design is fine, but i have more of a problem with the material. 1. This is an extremely clever design. I sew a lot and would have never come up with using the different colors of PVC in layers like that. I admire the 3-D creativity here.

2. PVC is REALLY hard to work with. Stitching by hand will leave you with sore fingers, to say the least. This however, was done with a machine...so easy right? Not so much. The PVC sticks to the parts of the machine that other materials simply glide along. This causes the wobbly lines on the curved portions. In addition, the sticking of the PVC makes lock stitching (when you see the thread doubled up, it's from going backward over where you just sewed to make sure it doesn't come undone) REALLY hard. It also messes with the tensions on the machine (makes it look uneven).

3. I'd have to look closer, but it looks like they used standard thread. I always use either denim topstich thread or button/craft thread when working with PVC, ESPECIALLY if you're using a contrast like that.

I think the best part is it is really cool, for guys or girls. Any time I've been in public with it, I get a lot of compliments on it, and frankly I think it looks a lot cooler than the above purse. I mean, if you're going to do the NES controller at least make the pieces symmetrical and look real :(

Not to mention....that bag doesn't look very sturdy. I've had mine for going on three years now, and you'd never know it was over a few days old.
