When calculating how to fit something in, If you know one dimension, length, that does not mean the other dimension must be width. John is right, the other dimension could be height. That's it, end of mystery.

It's not practical to go to too high on an 8 foot long boat, but there is no way to assert that the boat would have to be 632 feet wide unless you assume a single layer in height, which is an error. It's a possibility but not a given or known.

5059 / 8 = +/- 632. But if you quadruple the panels in each location (stack them vertically like a sail but not overlapping), then the boat could be 5059 / 32 = 632 / 4 = 158.

Thankfully, they will have stacked panels and a longer boat, so they can have a much much narrower boat. 5059 / 98 = 52.
