what this system does is keep the front passenger (the woman in this case) from being restricted from watching her favorite DVD and simply makes her watch the DVD while the driver (the man) can only see the map from his seat....

so if they get a GPS (stand-alone) the front screen still can't show video! its a safety risk

plus if someone (obviously not you) is thinking of getting an S600, they have enough money to get the option

its not a toyota or a ford so no need for an external GPS :)
