Once you get the embedded card in the netbook, you will be stuck with only using your account on the netbook. If you do not like the small computer and want to get a larger one some day, you are screwed because you will have to purchase another data card from Verizon. Remember, each data card with any of these carriers are $59.99 per month and there is no family plan for multiple purchases.

You will be better off purchasing the netbook at Costco for $279.99-$299.99 (comes with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty if you get the Aspire One) and a data card from Verizon for $49.99-$79.99 and you will get a $50 rebate making the card either free or $29.99.

I have been using my Aspire One for the past six months and let me tell you, with the small display and keyboard, you are going to want to get a larger laptop or desktop as your primary computer. I would not want to have my data card embedded into my Aspire One because that would be the only computer I could use online.

linderman

Comments on Verizon's subsidized HP Mini 1000 leaks out

Now calm down, he's just trying to be nice.
