Why does a media player have to have wifi? The main purpose of this device is media playback, not surfing the web.
has bluetooth that was extremely useful
you can perma leave your (ugly) phone in your bag, and can transfer files to and from your phone (and other phones) which is very useful
but i ended up choosing ipod touch over a 2nd p2 cuz of the wifi... it is nice to have wifi feature in an mp3 now i leave my laptop on my desk
Catch up is the right word, at the same price i don't know who would choose Samsung over the Cowon if you're no Apple fanboi.
well, there is this thing called a GUI..... (well, actually, you can make your own for the S9, so not totally a minus... )
but *some* people might like the better bluetooth capabilities, or the nice solid metal back, or the more standard brick-like shape..
but I think most people will go for the
a). cheaper price
b). a product from a more heard of company.

I have a Zune and I pay little attention to Samsung, Cowon, Archon(?) and the rest, but that 32GB Samsung "touch" is looking very awesome. Hopefully the screen is as vibrant and colorful as the picture intends it to be.

Come on more info on the ZuneHD, although this is nice, I would rather wait and see what the ZuneHD has to offer before laying down £200+ on this.
That, and Apple should be refreshing their line-up pretty soon. So there'll be a good market for older tech if you're into savings!

As for warom, you'll probably have to import it and pay customs anyway unless they finally decide to bring the Zune over here.
I'll wait for more infomation on the Zune HD also. If the Zune HD has only 32gb of storage, than the Sumsung will win out because of the Bluetooth. I'm looking for a Bluetooth enabled MP3 player so that I can use bluetooth headphones. I don't like wires!

Back to the real matter, Most people want to listen to music and watch the occasional video on the PMP. Who cares about the 33,950 calculators and calendar apps?

of 35000 apps, 20000 are tip calculators, another 10000 is ifart and iwobble, and their variants, another 4900 is 'lite' versions, which leaves 100 useful apps.
i'll give apple and the developers for making that 100

Since when do Zunes come with Win Mo? I'm not the biggest fan of Win Mo, but that doesn't prevent me from loving my xbox 360 or my zune. You sir, are awarded no internetz.

Uhm no. Your touch doesn't have HD now does it OR Susbscription based music... get with the times apple! Not EVERYONE wants to plunk down 99 cents PER song or pay for a full album price every time we want to buy new music.

No, the iPod touch is flash based. Haven't you seen how thin they are? It'd be almost impossible to squeeze a hard drive in there.

Ok, silliness apart. It will be interesting to see what the ZuneHD can promise the market when they have so many products to build up on. I mean, they could select all of these products, combine all their lacks and negatives, fix them and put it on the ZuneHD in addition to the features they already offer om the Zune 120.
But, like most others, MS please give us a 120 or 80 version of the ZuneHD, I don't care if its as thick as a HTC tilt.
