I used to work for a Sony retailer, and I think Sony's goal is to confuse every consumer looking at their TV's. They have too many different lines with only a few subtle differences from set to set. It takes an hour just to explain the Sony's compared to each other, then another hour factoring in other manufacturers! KEEP IT SIMPLE SONY! Am I the only one who wants to see less of this crap in a TV. Most likely, these built in solutiosn will not be as good as the solutions in the components that are going to connect to this TV (What's the codec/format support on this firmware, is music playback good, does it handle playlists? Am I going to use the built in TV decoder for half my movies, and then the PS3 for the other half and my music? Am I going to have 2 seperate ethernet cables for my PS3 and TV?) Why can there not be a good quality TV that focuses on the visual quality, but cuts cost by gutting all the shit you don't need and making it just a dumb monitor. Best TV ever would be a 52" computer monitor. Video signal goes in, picture is displayed.
Simple.

elBravo

Comments on Sony debuts connected BRAVIA Z5500 LCD HDTV line

Yahoo! is behind the online widget stuff.

Sean
