For the record, Palm said they will continue to support the Windows Platform as well, Palm ended PalmOS.  Also, Palm officially said, "the Pre is the only wireless Phone that will run webOS."   Palm plans on releasing a Netbook running webOS.  Ask yourselves this question, if Palm was able to keep webOS and the Pre a secret for over 2 years, why would Palm allow this leak out? Provide an official statement from a "Palm Official" which says webOS is planned for other phones, not an unnamed tipster or anonymous source.  I doubt Palm would undercut it's flagship product by releasing a lessor featured product with the same OS.  This is not like the typical Winmo, or PalmOS device.  Palm wants to create an entirely new ecosystem using the Palm Pre. Today could simply be Sprint returning some fire. Palm was top of the smart phone game only a few short years ago.  It makes sense that they get their asses in gear and bring out some updated hardware and software.  Their recent strategy was always a high and a low end device so the Pre/Eos combo would be like the Treo Pro and Centro today, albeit with much nicer hardware and software.  I'm glad to see them back in the game. I loved my Moto Q9H on AT&T specifically because it was a candybar qwerty w/ a great OS. This OS is leaps and bounds beyond WinMo 6.1, and it has the same form factor as my Q9h. Looks like a winner, at least on paper.
