It can do everything I want it to do, and that is saying a lot.

I keep track of the phone space and I can honestly say that the ONLY two things that might make me upgrade phones in the next year are the n97 (the qwerty, the N-gage support, and the n-series features being the main attractive aspects) and any developments in the Zune/WinMobile realm. Nothing else could make me switch, not a new iPhone, not the Omnia HD, nor even probably a NAM version of the HTC Touch HD.

That said, my main complaints are that the resistive touchscreen is no match for a capacitive one, the Symbian 60 Touch adaptation, while fully functional and easy to use, isn't exactly "pretty" or as easy to use as the iPhone (which is obviously the current benchmark in UI design).

My very first phone was the original N-Gage QD which I loved, then a Sony Ericsson z530a, then Nokia N80, Samsung SLM, Nokia 6650, and now the Nokia 5800.

By far I had the N-Gage QD (which I was in love with) and the N80 for the most time. You could say I'm biased for Nokia phones, but thats just because Symbian has always let me do anything my heart desired, whereas the iPhone lets you do whatever Apple wants you to do. I also multitask alot on my phone so :)

Mark

Comments on Cincinnati Bell lands Nokia's XpressMusic 5800: $149.99

People like to compare to the iPhone, but remember Nokia is more about function then form, so the 5800 can do the following that the iPhone (current version) can't:

- real turn-by-turn sat nav
- A2DP
- MMS
- video recording (at a blood good quality as well)
- cut'n'paste
- BT HID profile for BT keyboard
- FM radio built-in
- etc

Jah

Comments on Cincinnati Bell lands Nokia's XpressMusic 5800: $149.99

Sure is nice seeing my city honored on Engadget!
