Personally, I want to see something that is equivalent to a PS2+ in a handheld factor. <br><br>Sony has to bring it. The new iPod Touch (3RD Gen) is going to be stellar and a serious competitor. Thats the only reason that it would bother you. This is exactly why SONY is doing this, they are losing tons of money to pirating, and its been hurting the PSP for years. Developers dont want to make games for it because they just lose money to pirates. Digital downloads is the way the entire gaming industry will go. Publishers would rather have it that way. The resale market is hated among all publishers, first and third party. And I hope that physical media never goes away. But the moves that Sony and Microsoft, Nintendo as well, are doing only point to the inevitable. Trust me, I never buy the online version when I know there is a physical version available, that way I can sell it when I get bored of it and recoup some of my money back. I vote with my wallet. <br><br>I just feel that at this point we've reached the point of no return. Look at the success of Xbox Live and XBL Marketplace. UMD can store something like 1.8gb, I buy lots of games. There is no way i can keep carrying around memory cards trying to remember which games go on what card. Really if they don't like the UMD format. It's Sony testing the water of the download only market.<br>On another note, I think this is pretty exciting, you can get relatively large memory for a small amount now, and this just means that developers will be able to explore large storage and create better content for the user.<br>Unfortunately it does kill the resale market, but that is just the way the market is evolving. Something's just have to be sacrificed, I guess. In fact I just sold nearly my entire game collection.  I hate moving that crap around plus I have a lot less clutter. They dont make money on used sales. Only the store that is reselling them. This is another way that SONY and Developers are going to limit reselling, which hurts developers. I think this article is wrong. I think the code-in-a-box hits physical stores today, but the direct download option doesn't come out until the Thursday update.<br><br>BTW, the game is "digital" whether you get it via UMD or download. The psp does NOT need a second analogue stick. Stop crying for it. It is not going to happen. It's like crying to Nintendo to add an analogue on the NDS. It doesn't need it and neither does the psp.
