Although tbh in most consumers minds linux is a "dumbed" down OS. Instead, all the netbook manufacturers decided to put a dumbed down version of Linux on them with their own unique little twists hoping to have some kind of an edge over the competition. They made the thing USABLE for the average consumer. Had they installed a standard Ubuntu distro without those tweaks, that enormous return rate on Linux netbooks would have been undoubtedly higher.<br><br>Linux is still too nerdy to go mainstream. Now they're just big crappy laptops.  No thanks.  I'm never considering a netbook.  Nokia made the internet tablet...something that is pocketable and easy for surfing. Putting a phone based OS on a netbook turns a serious tool into something no more then a toy. Give us the C2D CULV chip, up the ram support to 6gb(4gb if 6 not possible).
