After a certain ammount of data, say 10GB, the download and upload speeds simply get lowered a bit, from 3600kbps/1400kbps to 768kbps/384kbps. Sure, it's a little slower, but it's mostly fast enough for comfortable internet surfing. This way you'll never pay a nickle more than the plan's monthly fee. Interesting as AT&T has those new terms of service that it has already used to castrate the iPhone slingbox app.  Given the mostly oligopoly like model of cell providers somebody with GSM service will having a similar product in the near future. This includes a USB key which you can add to your 3G WiFi router easily enough.
