A laser mouse still has much higher DPI and refresh rates than Blue Track. On a solid color surface like say a Rocket Fish gaming pad the Laser mouse with the higher DPI will be far superior. However you can put a Blue Track mouse on just about any other surface ie. wood grain and it will track better. 1. I don't think built in webcams in monitors or computers is widespread enough for the snide "get with the times" style comment in the article.
