You really think he was serious about that? Here is a tip, he at times doubles as a commedian - go to a movie and see the ads for his comedy tour, he says things like that to try to make light of things. Now I understand how it works, GB makes light of something like this and it is horrible and he is an idiot, but when Obama mocked people to make light of things in his 60 Minutes interview, makes fun of the handicapped, laughs at jokes about people dying from kidney disease, etc. it was all in good fun because the Great Obama is the Messiah.

As was posted, the CEO of GM was ousted at Obama's command. Today the US Govt, along with the Unions (there is a great pair) are owners of GM. What I want to know is, if the people on the boards of Banks and other industrys bailed out by the govt are not allowed to make over $250,000 if they take public money (something I agree with, not because Obama said so but because the boards of those companies should reduce the pay for poor performance), should'nt Obama's salary be reduced from $400,000 being he is taking public money?

Nohone

Comments on The future of Ford's SYNC starts on May 26, future of US auto industry still uncertain

Chirs2: Jackball! Lack of GPS doesn't mean you can't add Pandora streaming and such. Looks like those of us with 2009s (and grief, I only took delivery of mine at the end of February having ordered in September last year, that's the lead time if you order a hybrid) are going to be screwed unnecessarily. When starting out in the buying process I thought I would buy a Prius or maybe the new Honda Insight. I drove them both and the Camry and was wobbling among them until I drove the Fusion. I wound up buying it an hour later. It has better road feel, more room, better acceleration, and during my commute through DC traffic I routinely get upper 40s in mpg. My brother, a Goodyear mechanic, assured me that the quality of all domestic makers and especially Ford has improved leaps and bounds this decade. I believe that there are JD Powers reports that say the same. As for SYNC itself, it is very easy to use. I have a USB stick with ~40 Gb of songs and only rarely do I have to play "How would a computer pronounce this?" to get a track to play. I believe that the dependability study here (http://www.jdpower.com/corporate/news/releases/pressrelease.aspx?ID=2009043) supports that claim. Indeed, it says that a domestic brand, Buick, is #1 in dependability. It also says that Ford is not far behind Honda but needs work to catch Toyota. Given that the dependability study has a 3-yr lag and that Ford now has comparable initial quality to Honda/Ford, the best estimate for long-term dependability for Ford is that it is at least comparable to Honda and probably comparable to Toyota. In other words, both the derivative and the current data are in Ford's favor. When I added that to opinion of a mechanic with 20+ years of experience, I took it that Fords are currently a good buy.

I should repeat that I started out wanting to buy a Toyota but was unimpressed with the cars.
