It is waterproof down to 40 meters and is a rather lovely well engineered thing. We were shooting documentary and this combo worked flawlessly.  We shoot with a RED One Digital Cinema package and although the 5D has it's limitations, what it does, it does well. This makes me sad as I am a scuba diver. And the price is just for the body, the ports and zoom/focus gear are additional, not to mention lighting and strobes.
