Unless you have no butt

--- unnecessary shake and vibration on the cam as your leg keeps hitting it when you walk
I don't really see it having any more shake than what it would get from hanging around your neck. As long as you mount it on your side, it shouldn't be a problem. If anything, I would be bothered more than the camera would

--- not to mention that the holster pin keeps you from being able to keep your tripod mount on the cam for quick attachment to your tripod,
Trust me, if I have a tripod with me, I'm not moving much at all and wouldn't have the need to carry it on my hip. So in a lot of these cases where you have a tripod with you, a holster won't be needed. And even if so, it's still a benefit. It doesn't take much effort to screw and unscrew.

As an event photographer, I would DEFINATELY enjoy the benefit of this thing. Even though I support the weight of my camera with my hands and arms when the strap is around my neck, I still feel it in the neck and ESPECIALLY the lower back from shooting such long hours. Moving the camera weight to the hips would be a huge benefit especially since I tend to have two cameras with me at a time.

My biggest concern is this. How easy would it be for someone to snatch your camera off of you or for your camera to come out of the holster if someone bumps you or if you are in an awkward position?

Marcellus

Comments on

seems pretty practical.
