So, when a company creates a smaller version of a device - They have to charge less? The 16gb of internal storage and design that hasn't gone through enough units to benifit for high volume savings. It'll come down eventually.

ummm ok so one successful format negates the fact that they had a million failed formats? The "hit and miss" method of success is not a very good method at all. In fact think of all the billions of dollars wasted on those formats that they could have easily spent improving their products or simply doing more research into finding the right format to release. I mean it was pretty obvious from the get go that UMD was gonna fail. The only reason blu-ray is kinda surviving is the fact that it physically looks like a DVD therefore its much easier to be adopted by the technologically illiterate. When I play games while "mobile", I'm often engaged with other activities such as walking, looking out for my bus/tube stop, or stopping to chat to friends I meet. Therefore, a simple game to pass about 2-5 minutes of time is what I need. I don't want to start playing some long-winded game that requires my full attention - those are best left for when I'm in front of a computer/console.
