Very important for me however was the 1kg limit when I got my Eee. I don't want to carry too much weight around or it wouldn't be very "mobile" computing. Personally I think the ultimate defining factor of "netbook vs. laptop" will be processor power & weight; not screen size.

In my own personal opinion, all the sub 10" units never grabbed my attention. Know these micro units have a faithful following, and that's fine, but most people, even those with good eye sight, don't want to squint at their screen. To each their own, YMMV, yadda yadda yadda, but I think the sweet spot for mass consumption "netbooks" will be 10"-12", with smaller screens being a niche market.
