Last year's entry-level Sony, Canon, Nikon, and Pentax will run circles around this heap for the same or less money. That's like saying it isn't a good camera because it doesn't have a cheese grater.  If you want video, get a video camera.  Heck you can get one that is smaller than a good lens for this thing and stick it in your camera bag if you are that worried about it. And in DSLR field, you are pretty much locked into the couple - Canon and Nikon. Consequently reviewers review whatever is closest to them - Canon and Nikon.<br><br>But word of mouth albeit slow but surely promotes the other brands too. I bough my E-520 because it has a great kit lens and my colleague recommended it.
