How many people own a MBP? It's a VERY small market percentage. Other laptops have had SD slots for eons.<br><br>Listen, I love Mac products (own a Mac Pro and use it frequently for audio production), but putting SD cards in these notebooks isn't changing a thing. How much does a card-reader cost? Almost nothing. Dual CF would be better, but space would probably be a constraint.  But imagine shooting and running out of space.  Instead of having to stop and swap your card, and maybe risk your subject changing, you can keep going, overflowing to the SD.  Or say you're swapping your card, and the perfect shot presents itself, but will be gone quickly. This particularly important for sports photography where you take thousands of shots in a sporting event and have a huge 500mm prime lens on your body that makes stopping and changing media very cumbersome.<br><br>The problem with these CF+SD slots is that many times they don't have an overflow feature where pictures are offloaded to the second slot. Not really interested in video but I'd like to be able to use the "good" Nikon glass without the crop factor......<br><br>BTW, not to start a flamewar here but I was at Legoland (San Diego) today and most of the DSLRs I saw were Nikons (D60s to D300s), There was eve a Grandma alternating shooting her three granddaughters (with their parents) with a D300 and a Canon 3CCD prosumer camcorder. Annoying! Not only that the brood was noisy as hell and held up the line but the fact that the grandma was treating her gear like a point and shoot! I wanted to shove my D50 in her hands and say "here, use this. It has scene modes. Let me make proper use of that camera!"]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[R.
