Bluetooth is an industry standard for interaction and communication between mice, keyboards, headsets, peripherals, handheld devices and then some. Most all notebooks (but not desktops) have Bluetooth available as an option or standard equipment.<br><br>Your standard RF wireless mouse is just that: a proprietary Radio Frequency device designed to communicate between Point A (your computer) and Point B (your mouse, sometimes a keyboard) and nothing else. I might consider picking this up at some point if the reviews are good. I changed to the VX Revolution from the ill-fated Apple Wireless Mighty Mouse.  It's a lovely mouse to use with a notebook (perfect size and no silly recharging station) but I wish that there was a Bluetooth version of it so I didn't have to muck about with a damned RF dongle. Nearly all laptops sold have Bluetooth connectivity and dongles are a huge pain. I'm using a Sony VGP-BMS77 Bluetooth rechargeable mouse, which I would probably recommend over this Logitech model. It was a wireless mouse that overheated on the charger base and stopped working.  Only issue I've had with many many logitech devices. The nano transmitter has been in my laptop for well over a year, without a problem.
