The fact is, there aren't many phones that can get colorware'd right now, only the real popular ones. This isn't another apple conspiracy thing, its usual engadget business, and I for one am happy they do. We call it "options". I realize that people who buy Apple products aren't used to this sort of thing, but they exist in the real world. And sometimes you have to pay for them if they're extra special.
