I reviewed the camera three months ago or so (got it quite early from the Norwegian importer), and it was a pretty decent. Gave it 4 out of 6. It's quite good in daylight, but not nearly good engouh once it gets a bit darker. It's damn cheap though, so can't complain too much.

I still prefer my Creative Vado HD though. It has better overall picture quality and feels a lot more rugged. The Vado HD has more wide angle too, which is good indoors. Only downside to the Vado is that it's a bit more expensive. Still worth it.

Playing around with the Toshiba Camileo S10 now. Awesome in daylight, crap once it gets darker outside. Crap indoors too. And the 4gb MicroSD shoots 2 hours of HD video... The 16GB isin't required if you ask me.

The photo setting is not any better. The pictures are so fuzzy and blurry it is horrible. The picture setting and video setting looks alright some only when you take outside pictures. Forget about using it in side.
When you zoom in while video taping you hear a clicking sound when you play back the video. I saw someone else say the same thing on another review at another site and that was why I went back and took more video and listen to it and heard the clicking sound. This is not worth a dime in my opinion. It might be light weight and look nice on the outside but is not worth your money for sure. It does not even have a flash on it. I tried taking pictures on all the settings to make sure and give it a chance. I tried it on the Auto setting, the indoor setting and still my indoor pictures no matter what setting you have it on comes out horrible. I am so disappointed. It looked great when they showed on Home Shopping Network where I bought it from.

If it's anything like the low end network cameras, I would avoid it. Experience tells me that anything under about $150 produces a terrible image under anything but ideal conditions, but once you get into the $200-$300 range it's suddenly a big step up in image quality, unless of course you want pan/tilt functionality, but that's a whole different discussion.]]>Jun 25th 2009 2:52PM
