They've got a bit of time to sort out a name for the replacements for the D300 (at least until they reach D600) but I certainly don't understand what the D300s is yet. It'll most likely be identical to the D90's video quality, which isn't all that bad, but it is nowhere near the video quality of other DSLRs. I'm much more interested in seeing a D700 successor with video capabilities.<br>I can say that after owning/shooting with both Nikon and Canon that I really have a strong preference for Nikon DSLRs.<br>I did start with shooting Nikons, and recently moved over to Canon with the 5DmkII.<br>The overall quality of the images, and the quality/price of the Canon lenses is what'll keep me shooting Canon.<br>However, the Nikon is much more intuitive in operation, and IMO, much more responsive.
