Dealextreme.com has had these for about 2 to 2 1/2 years. Triband GSM phone much more reasonably price (~$140 US currency) if you want to flirt with one of these devices. I've been tethering using WMWiFiRouter on WinMo (even the included Internet Sharing will do the trick) for over a year now.

Not only can I tether (for FREE mind you, I don't even have to pay for a separate PAM plan using WinMo hacks), but I can also turn my phone into a wireless router.

Anyone with my encryption key can then connect to my phone and also use it as a router for tethering.
