Europeans are less likely to just stay with one carrier. When I went to the US last year, it was always like: I have a T-Mobile phone, an AT&T phone. I got there with an unlocked Sony Ericsson K800i, and they were all wondering where i got it. I had to explain to them that it was not a carrier subsidized phone where you could just pop in any SimCard you wanted to... Kinda weird and frightning that all these new hot touchscreen phones are all released exclusively on just ONE CARRIER.
