When i bought the first one 2 years ago it was single handedly the best piece of hardware for the price. About 9 months deep the video card a nvidia 7600go completely crapped out on me.

I sent it in for repair in Nov. 08 (approx the 7th) and took until January to hear that it would be repaired out of warranty and the mobo was bad.

After talking with MANY people at everex i finally came across someone who said yeah this is due to the architecture of the nvidia chipset. overheats, melts kind of thing. Was replaced for free. Received it back in APRIL of 09. Told on a weekly basis the mobos had not arrived yet.
Apparently Everex had to eat the cost of the repairs as per some contract with Nvidia.

In the Meantime i still needed a laptop to use at shows, so i picked up a second one. Within 2 weeks (Feb 09) the SECOND one had the same error. In the meantime, due to the large volume of complaints about this model among others Everex Shut down its forums about people complaining about not hearing anything back. They Killed their Phone numbers and were IMPOSSIBLE to reach. I had about 8 different numbers i would try on a daily basis along with emails just to try and get a hold of a PERSON. It wouldn't even let you leave a message!

Finally got the second repaired for 160 even though it was the same error. Everex decided it would not be offering free repairs even though it was a manufacturing error.

Total Nightmare to deal with. Just received the second back from repair about a month ago.
