It's chic to be geek -- and World of WarCrafts has some of the coolest geek chic around, according to the author of an upcoming book on geek crafts. She's looking for a World of WarCrafts project to include in an upcoming crafts title to be published by Chronicle Books ... And you, our readers, get to help select the featured project!

"The book is a collection of 25 original geek craft projects from Star Trek to comics -- and WoW," writes Susan Beal, author of crafting favorites Button It Up, Bead Simple and Super Crafty. "We're so excited to spotlight a reader-chosen favorite project from WoW.com's World of WarCrafts in the collection!" The creator of the selected project will receive a copy of the book, plus full credit and a bio in the book.

The selected project creator will need to submit a written how-to and any templates or patterns for their project. (Crafting 101-style details, such as how to crochet, aren't necessary; readers will be referred to recommended sites or books to learn the basics.) Creators must be able to mail their creations and instructions to Beal for a photo shoot, to be received no later than Aug. 20. Projects will be returned after they're photographed for the book.

Nominate your favorite World of WarCrafts project

Here's where you come in. We need to know what you think is our best World of WarCrafts project! Take a scroll through all our past projects, then post a comment with a link to the creative effort you think would best represent World of WarCrafts in a book on crafting. One nomination per reader, please. We'll have to contact the creators to make sure they're willing and able to participate – but we'd like the WoW.com community to have a voice in what we send off to represent WoW crafts to the geek crafters of the world.
