fee, and they charge you for that.<br>Still, it's the currently most used connection for such devices so I'd say it's something which is good to have unfortunately, they should also add displayport though as a sign of protest, although, isn't toshiba one of the group that made up HDMI?<br>Looked it up:<br>"The HDMI Founders are Hitachi, Matsushita Electric Industrial (Panasonic/National/Quasar), The picture quality is OK.  You're never going to get really good picture quality in these TV's with the integrated DVD players.<br><br>But instead, I bought a 24" screen-tilting 1080p Vizio LCD HDTV (with HDMI) and an upscaling Toshiba DVD player (also with HDMI and an included cable) together for $300 at Costco just the other day - bigger screen, higher resolution, MUCH better picture, and a better price.
