Don't know why. They are more expensive and had their downs and falls in comparison to AMD in the past. But still, I've never seen steadier chips than those made by Intel. Not me personally, but companies I've worked with etc... all using AMD and Intel shared the same opinion that Intel is better.<br><br>Of course it'll all come down to what you need, want and expect from a CPU. I need reliable, fast and not so energy hungry and too hot CPUs for 24/7 usage. Hopefully they have a new mobile series coming out soon, because Arrandale (and Clarksfield) are going to destroy their current CPUs in performance, performance/watt, etc. Arrandale is not only 32nm, but can dynamically shutdown cores, and dynamically scale the active cores performance. All of this, with an IMC and integrated PCIe controller. I won't say that they're better than Intel or vice versa, they've each had processors that were better than the other, but I prefer to get equal perfomance for less money.
