There are some gadgets that do everything they're supposed to in dry weather, but when it's wet, are largely only useful as blunt objects. This would include toaster ovens, high-definition plasma screen televisions, tesla coils and cellular phones.

Then there are some gadgets that are the other way around. They work just fine in wet environments but aren't useful at all in dry environments. This would include dehumidifiers, ponchos, scuba equipment, sump pumps and white t-shirts on large breasted women.
