But that whole concept of buying a proprietary box that's tied to a single content provider never made any sense to me. If said provider goes bust, or just gets eclipsed in service/selection/whatever by someone else, you have to go buy a whole nother box. This is part of why, despite being something akin to an Apple fanboy, I haven't bought the AppleTV.
