The resolution was only comparable to the cameraphone resolution of the day, but it was a great little unit and he STILL uses it from time to time. A few years later I bought him a video-enabled camera from that same "Go Gear" line. The video was in a bizarre format that didn't play nice with the Mac OS (until later), but it worked as a DAP, camcorder, and camera.
