I'll take a DS lite (and I did) over a PSP. the other thing to keep in mind is that with both the memory and battery are stuck and with the touch you have to pay for updates and they are not even equal - the phone remains to have more features

now I understand you have a raging hate on for the PSP but you shouldn't let that rage make you go so blind

the PSP has a very rich feature set (flash, skype, location free, etc) and a massive critically acclaimed software library - its software updates have always been free and its memory is in fact expandable, hot swappable and very inexpensive and its battery can be easily changed and expanded

Now here is my point.

I have a mobile phone that has the potential to play PS1 games and play them well (as we can see). So it would make sense for me (ME) to utilize my current device I have for gaming, phone and audio device instead of buying a PSP.

You are correct in saying that the PSP is better for gaming because guess what, thats what it was designed to do. Now, if Sony can bring a PSP Go with a phone and features that I am now used to, then I would consider it, but for now my choice is clear.
