If you're using this for an Xbox 360 as well as a Monitor, the 16:9 Aspect ratio actually comes in handy, a computer can be told what aspect ratio it has, while a 360 on the other hand cannot. So basically what this means is with some of the other monitors it would either stretch out the 16:9 to 16:10 and give you a distorted image, or give you black bars on the top and bottom, which I know some people don't mind but you'd feel better knowing that every bit of your monitor was being used to the fullest potential. Also, the price is good, the specs are fantastic, and Asus makes a wonderful product, haven't had a problem with mine yet =D, plus the decent GTG response time means very little ghosting. Enjoy :)

Wildarms7000

Comments on Ask Engadget: Best 20- to 24-inch LCD monitor with HDMI / DVI?

Use the XBOX 360 VGA cable and you will have no issues with 16:10.

Maeztro

Comments on Ask Engadget: Best 20- to 24-inch LCD monitor with HDMI / DVI?

Most monitors let you change the settings for input to stretch the image or leave at the native resolution.

Nathan

Comments on Ask Engadget: Best 20- to 24-inch LCD monitor with HDMI / DVI?

An Xbox 360 CAN do 16:10
I use an HDMI to DVI cable with my 360 and have told my console to display at 1680x1050 for my 22" AOC.

Andrew

Comments on Ask Engadget: Best 20- to 24-inch LCD monitor with HDMI / DVI?

BenQ E2200HD.

Whatever you choose, make sure it's 16:9, not 16:10.

PW

Comments on Ask Engadget: Best 20- to 24-inch LCD monitor with HDMI / DVI?

16x9 guarantees you fewer pixels.
