Now AMD is much younger than Intel, so on a yearly basis, they might have the upper hand, I don't know. for the last 3 years they made 3 platforms for notebooks one got canceled and 2 of them were for ULTRA thin laptops which is super weak cpu for standard mainstream laptop, It's the same reason why Intel charge 600$ for 2.900 dual core 2 and plan to charge 1000$ for the 2.000 quad core i7 they plan to release this fall 400$/600$/1000$ "1.6GHZ/1.7GHZ/2.0GHZ"
