For many reasons, I still hold these G series mice in high esteem, they just feel right and work right when you want them too.  Unless they come up with a better sidewinder mouse from MS, then Ill stick with logitech. From the time that mouse came out I have been through 5 Razer mice (2 Boomslangs and 3 Copperheads, each replaced under warranty) ONLY because each mouse stopped working. Note these were all used on my desktop and not betten up.<br><br>Now go back 3-4 years when I purchased a Logitech MX-518 for my laptop. It's still just as good as when I first bought it and it has had the crap beat out of it by sitting in my laptop backpack. I actually emailed Logitech a while back requesting a new three button mouse. Ever since mice started coming with scroll wheels they've dropped the third button and I don't see how they can make something that's supposed to be for gaming that is so limited.<br><br>Creative made an effort a while back, and the mouse was comfortable, but the buttons didn't work right - there were spurious double clicking problems - and the thing was Fatal1ty branded. I still prefer my MX518. Habe bought the G5 like 1.5yrs ago or so... but in the end I just switched back to the slightly more dated MX518. Performance wise the Logitech would have a advantage since its laser tracking and not IR tracking, but both are good enough.
