Although, we generally use Toughbooks.  The reason they are so expensive is the materials used to build the case, and all the R&D and testing that goes into meeting the various military and gov't specifications for 'ruggedness.'  Oh, and because they know that they can sell it to the military and gov't for outrageous prices and get away with it.<br><br>The best thing about working with computers like these is that you just don't worry about them.  Just pick them up however you want using whatever corner of the case you can grab and throw it in your vehicle and go.  You can switch out the harddrive in seconds.  No screws required.  Same with the battery.
