It will rarely, if ever, hit that in every day usage but you can still safely assume you'll have a picture that's not as dull and washed out as most LCD monitors but more like your good old 800lbs CRT monitor.

And 16:10 can go to hell as far as I'm concerned. Enough with the aspect ratio mess already. HDTV is 16:9, Consoles are 16:9, so I'd rather have a monitor that can natively handle those.
