Now, imagine such a device that also has a small e-ink display on the outside. At last, after 20 years (phones used to have crisp black and white LCDs) it would again be possible to see the time and other status indications by just looking at the (closed) device, rather than having to pick it up to turn the display backlight on. That's what I would call progress. HTC, Nokia, Apple, are you there? :-)
