If you put windows seven on it it should get even better battery life! The laptop looks to be a really good option for those looking at the netbook form factor. The processor is low-powered, but you trade off speed for longevity and battery life, which is quite useful for those on-the-go. Large hard drive and RAM capacities are also a plus. I know Acer is trying to keep costs down to a minimum, but trading up to something like an Ion chipset wouldn't hurt. Intel's integrated graphics do not appeal to me one bit. But, this one is to be smaller than the rest of the lineup. At $450, you're really getting into netbook territory, and this thing is far more powerful than any Atom-based machine out there. I'm liking the looks of this. Lower the price to $399 and it'll sell like hotcakes. If I needed an ultraportable, I would consider this first and foremost now. Plus the Dell Mini 12 is gone... What the hell do you use your machines for?? I have the crappiest z520 with 2gb RAM and windows 7 runs and loads really fast. The only thing that lags is youtube when it's on power saving mode. It's slow.  Took a good 15 seconds to open Windows Photo Gallery, and 1-2 seconds using gestures to zoom in and out of the picture.
