If nüvi is pronounced "new-vee" (and not nuh-vee), then "nuinfo" should be pronounced "new-info". See? It's a play on "new information" because you're getting "new information" through the magic airwaves. There is no good reason to limit the (mobile) life of your devices to the limited charges of the battery. Looking forward to better designs and more logical 'green' use of resources in future products. I'm sure you'll want us using your products for as long as possible rather than seeing them go to landfill after a few short years (or being attached to external power constantly).
-------------------------------------
http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us/support/searchsupport
Question: Can I replace the battery in my nuvi?
Answer:

The nuvi series does not have a user replaceable battery with a few exceptions. The exceptions include the nuvi 5xx, 8xx and the nuvi 900T. These devices have a replaceable lithium-ion battery.
