well for starters i will admit that the screen is kinda small but it has a 16:9 aspect ratio which is pretty nice. secondly, of course it doesn't make calls it's a pmp. thirdly, it seems to me that it does support apps including some sort of paint-like program not to mention the widgets and calendar in the picture above. fourthly, well that's a matter of preference really....personally i could care less were a quality product comes from.

Also, it's kind of seems like blind hate on your part.

1) I agree here. If it's so bulky you could've gotten a 5" screen on it, it's too big for a 3" screen. Plus, iPhone's is bigger. And you can bet the iPhone is probably brighter.
2) If you want something to make calls, get a phone.
3) If you want something to run Apps and WebApps, get an MID or Smartphone.
4) Why? Most of the stuff on the american market is s#!t comapred to some foreign stuff out there. plays wmv @ 800KBps at 640x480, could be better.
has a digital tv tuner built in, expansion slot, support for lossless codecs like ape and flac. what more could you ask for...
has built in microsd slot, a dictionary! lol views pictures and notes, fm tuner, a paint app, a calculator all for about 158 usd.

Then there's terrestrial DMB, which has terrified me many a day, until I tell my taxi driver to please not watch tv while driving me on the freeway.
