I'll be picking a Slim up when it comes out, but only because it's the best BluRay player available at the 299 pricepoint. I won't even be unwrapping the controller until Heavy Rain comes out next year. There simply aren't any games exclusive to the console that interest me. I don't have enough free time to get anything out of Little Big Planet, I've already watched all the videos from MGS4 on youtube, so no point in playing that, Modern Warfare 2 is going to have a better online experience on the 360 so I won't be buying that for the PS3, and so on and so forth.

This lowered price is wonderful, and about time, but unless Sony starts releasing some exclusive titles people actually give a crap about, sales aren't going to grow past the initial surge of people who, like me, are just picking one up for it's BluRay capabilities. Most games 95% are multi platform and most people rather play online for free over paying to play like xbox, most don't even know wth is xbox live to begin with and this is not 2006, Playstation Network actually beat xbox live in many ways the only thing that matter left on xbox live is voice chat cross games and sony said it's coming in the future i can not believe the xbots like you who justifies paying for a PEE2PEER online service Sony actually use dedicated servers for all of their first party games = lag free matches

So... your point about the 360 upscaling games from 720p is entirely moot. The PS3 also renders almost all of its "heavy hitter", high-end graphics titles at 720p.

@Cash is right. Yes, I like the fact that my PS3 has built-in WiFi, is much quieter, and generally has much better build quality. But all of that is moot when you consider the sheer craptitude that is the PS3 online experience. Live may cost money, but I pay every penny of it gladly - the online integration for all games is just so seamless and well-done that it's a joy to use.

Whereas the PS3's online features piss me off every single time I turn on the machine. My friend messaged me? Great, hit the PS3 button (which isn't smart enough to show me the message!), hit 5 different buttons to see the message, hit 4 buttons just to reply... ugh... No invitation system? No party system? What is this, 2003?

Generally speaking right now for any cross-platform game I will go for the 360. For any game with heavy multiplayer PS3 is *not even in consideration*. That's how bad the online experience on PS3 is. The only games I play on PS3 are PS Store games and PS3 exclusives. And MS dominates the software side of the game as much as sony dominates the hardware..... the 360 dashboard has gone a complete overhaul, added "gamechanger" features (netflix,party system). The 360 with all of its flaws is still better than the PS3. I have to admit that killzone 2 was one of the best shooting games I ever played, but they destroyed the fun of the game because of all of the people's whining about the controls. I do not play that game anymore because of the change of controls. Every game does not have to play like CoD4. About MAG, It does not look fun at all. AT ALL. You say that the 360 is not innovative, but neither is the PS3.
