yeah there is no way in hell any muppet user could replace the battery but they still spread like wildfire,

as a general rule if the gadget sucks the battery clean in less than a month with hardcore use then they should use a rechargeable battery
(the wii and xbox360 do this, and clearly its awful for the environment)

the only gadget that i would consider having disposable batteries nowadays are only wall clocks or mice that can last nearly a year without replacing
i havent replaced my logitech mice's batteries for the past 11 months.. waiting for it to be too laggy for team fortress 2
sony meanwhile originally designed their controllers following apples clean aesthetic of non user replaceable batteries but they added instructions in their manual that requires a screwdriver to replace the batter,

BUT!!!!!! that is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to the game controller's rechargable battery. it does not have an intensive LCD screen and GPS and other battery intensive components for its battery to extremely deteriorate over time. even after three years the performance will be pretty decent comparing it to a new one.

PS Compare them (Slim/Phat) to the internals of an Xbox 360 (mind you with NO internal power supply) makes it look like the 360 was put together by a bunch of hired armature (not even professional) Apes assembling an eMachine. That said, even when moving to the smaller processes, we are only talking several millimeters in difference in width and length. Doing a little math in my head (using the numbers I recall from years ago, so this could be off), it should be like 7 mm and 3 mm smaller along the edges, that's 1/4 inch and 1/10 of an inch respectively.
