All the wii is good for is party games nothing else, i would much rather play a PC, 360, ps3, Dreamcast then a Wii. A Wii is for people who play video games. Just because you don't like the games, does not mean that they are not video games. The Wii has become the party system. It has potential, it's just not being used in the proper way. Can you imagine playing a hardcore FPS on the Wii? With that controller it would be amazing. But it's not happening because developers, and Nintendo, are just using it as a cash cow.

My hopes are that Nintendo is using this to make money in order to come out with an amazing system next gen, offer it at a cheap price point while taking a huge hit. This would cause them to once again be the console leader, all while not going broke. They would essentially be buying their way back into the market like Sony and Microsoft. They could also be using it as a bridge to get developers back on their side. Developers are now loving Nintendo, they easily make money off the Wii. The Wii is the ultimate casual gamer system, The price point on the Wii is great but it fails to preform a long term entertaining experience for a harder core gamer.

How is saying your a "true gamer" mean you don't have a life, lan partys are great fun and playing games online is so fake and going out with people from work.

Companies often patent ideas so as to stop other parties from actually manufacturing it, because they think it's a ridiculous idea and don't want to see it on their platform.
