Unless of course you have freakishly thin fingers that can double as a stylus.<br><br>Having used both I would say that capacitive screens are easier to use, smoother and better at moving things around.  Resistive screens are more accurate and less hassle if you want to do something quickly - like open a link on a web page. I do have a 5800.  I never use the stylus with the exception of the browser for small links and when I want to use the mini-QWERTY keyboard - which is usually in the browser.  It's finger friendly apart from that.<br><br>I appreciate choice. A pretty huge discrepancy, to be sure, but it's not unlike Nokia to have a flagship phone fluctuate in price. "<br><br><br>A strange thing that Engadget has never heard about taxes. Maybe they don't exist in the States. But VAT in Germany is 20%, 19% in Italy. The price before taxes was 500€. 500€ x 1.2 = 600€. In most countries however the tax is around 20% so it makes sense to add the tax to calculate an estimated retail rice. To make matters worse, European law requires to quote prices with the VAT included as long as you are selling to end users.<br><br>US customers however are used to see the prices quoted without their local sales tax, so for the sake of comparability it would make sense to quote European prices without VAT as well.
