The NFL has ruled on the Dallas Cowboys punt blocking super-sized videoboard deciding to leave it where it is, 90 feet above the playing field, at least for this season. That's no surprise to us, on the last EHD Podcast we figured no one would be able to tell Jerry Jones there's a problem with his billion dollar baby, obstructed view seating and all. So far there's just the one strike in the books, but if it happens again, it is a dead ball and the clock and down will both be reset. Haven't seen the punt heard round the world yet? Check after the break for a clip of the kick that caused all the commotion, though we're still waiting for a ruling on whether or not Gears of War tournaments on the thing are still legal.
Well, since NFL stadium regulations are 85 feet, it seems like Mr. Jones followed the rules. Maybe this next off-season they will change the rules...who knows. So far it has been one punt out of many.
That's what I heard over the weekend. It costs some ridiculous amount just to move it up, but they followed the rules exactly. Even though I hate the Cowboys, there's no way they should be forced to eat the cost of moving it up.
What obstructed viewing seats? the screen is high enough that even the top row of the upper sections can see the complete field and beyond to the other field level seating. I was in row 25 section 409 (there are 30 rows in those sections) when that punt was kicked.
1) You shouldn't write about things you don't know about.
2) Went to the 2nd game last week, it does not obstruct the view from any seats.
3) No punts came even close when I went to the game, obviously the Titans punter was trying to kick it straight up. Punting from his own 30 he lunts it 20 yards deep and straight up.... reDONKulous
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.

I bet that kicker was on steroids. Nobody can kick or throw a ball 90 feet in the air. It's just all crazy.
You're kidding, right?
