I doubt there's a phone on the market that doesn't have enough computing power to match the features of an 8 MB Palm OS device of a decade or more ago; yet so few of them offer the simple but important functionality of those devices.<br><br>Even the iPhone lacks basic PDA functions like memos with categories, to-do lists, and the means to sync those things with the computer. Making a phone with similar specs as the 5800 shouldn't throw the price up $200. It's a BS excuse for inexcusably bad phone and software design.  Take Motorola, selling phones years ago with 32MB of memory but no addresses in the contact list.  My 8MB Handspring Visor held every address, phone number, calendar, memo, and to-do list I had; yet a 32 MB device was rendered useless for most of those things because of piss-poor software design.<br><br>Apologists dismissed this shambles with, "Oh, well, you need a SMART phone to do that stuff."<br><br>BULLSHIT.  You need simple competence in software design and that's it.
