That's not the problem at all. The real problem is energy consumpttion when multitasking.<br><br>IPhone fanbois are happy to boast that Iphone OS is based on true desktop OS, and it indeed brings lot sweetness to Iphone. Sadly the whole based on desktop OS thing also has downsides, one of them being not being built as mobile OS from the start with mobile restraints in mind. While a developer, I am incredibly interested in anybody who will compete on the top level, and Nokia has the tools to do it. The Booklet is a bit weird, and I would rather see them produce a larger tablet. As I am looking at education, something like that would be perfect. Sadly, I am stuck on the iPhone and hopefully the coming iTablet thingy.<br><br>Good job Nokia, and perhaps Flash will actually run on this, as opposed to the past tablets! Wait, why am I complaining, the Dream is a great phone!<br><br>Anyway, I'm looking forward to what Nokia do now that both their smart-OSs are running on mobile phone platforms, time will tell which the world prefers. Also, looking forward to real-world battery testing with that Booklet. When you turn the phone in portrait mode, it switch to phone use, with a numpad and access to the contacts I guess.<br><br>The standard desktop and apps (besides phone) only work in landscape. Europeans laughing at the sheep mentality here from Iphone fanboy-ism and Apple Evangelists and all the cheap a$$es who have come to expect a smartphone for less than $99 on a cock-a-mammy 2 year contract.<br><br>Nokia took a long time releasing the N800 in the US.<br>I was lucky to have found "1" at a CompUsa store some 60 miles from where I live in Southwest Florida. The reason phones like the XM 5800 and HTC Hero have sold well in Europe is because they are free ON CONTRACT. While it's true that wayy more people are comfortable with buying unlocked phones over there than here, lots of people still get their hands on the latest stuff the safe way...by buying into a monthly contract. While I'll admit that fanboyism gets on my nerves, it's not to blame for this. By and large, you can still buy these phones unlocked (may not be available on your 3G band however, but according to your post, you wouldn't want to pay for it anyway). What I am against are people who still want a high end smartphone for close to nothing here in the US. Ultimately this is the exact reason why T-Mobile in America does not have a nicer and wider selection of EVEN BETTER (Nokia, HTC, LG, etc) phones available with a slight discount like they do in Europe.<br><br>For example, I would ultimately love to own the Nokia N900. Let's say it is $750 to $800 in Europe with NO CONTRACT. And, say, it was then $400 with a 2 year contract. This would be a GREAT DEAL in my opinion.<br><br>Yet, studies here in the US show that the most someone would pay for a smartphone thru their carrier on a 2 year contract is $300.
