When I was watching the video, they looked like normal pictures to me.
I think this might be a bit of placebo here.

This technique has been around for decades. In the 70s I had story books with lenticular 3d images on the cover.

I had a film camera that took 3D pictures in the early 90's (it took four pictures at once). You had to send the film off to get the prints made.

What's new here is the digital camera. You get to see the 3D image right away on the camera, and you can take as many pictures as you like without worrying about the cost (assuming you have already paid for the camera).
